  • Chris D. de Broglio was born in Mauritius on 14th May 1930. He went to Durban South Africa to study Accountancy and qualified in 1954. He married June Von Solms in 1955 and has six children. He was South African Weightlifting Champion from 1950 to 1962. He was a founder member of the South African Non-Racial Olympic Committee in 1962 with Dennis Brutus and started SAN-ROC in exile in London in 1966.
